Surviving the website traffic of Ho Chi Minh City was the very first challenge Linda and I had to encounter when we got here. On motorbike taxi we drove to the crazy website traffic to our resort, a fairly hazardous experience initially (particularly for Linda). To illustrate, anywhere where you are looking are motorcycles, and they are driving as morons.
Following experience we faced was getting out of this crazy city, which gives you no mercy! In the early morning (before the peak time) we left Ho Chi Minh and went on a much less crowded roadway to Mui Ne, a beach community south-east of Vietnam.
No trouble to take your motorbike in the bus, if you pay! Hoi An was a great city to go to.
Much, we hadn't major difficulty with our motorcycle! We figured out a road (QL 8A) which was a faster way in between the Ho Chi Minh East and Ho Chi Minh West routes.
Go for it, just thirty kilometers. This was the worse option ever before. The roadway was a hill pass, and the rain the day in the past had transformed the roadway into a mud course. Brave and without quiting we continued the road, after 2 hours we drove almost ten kilometers.
The clutch was broken, however we discovered a person near the roadway so friendly to fix it momentarily by switching the clutch with the hand brake! We discovered some road employees and one of them was so pleasant to take Linda on the back of her bike and we continued that means.
Our shortcut did not exercised, after 6 hours, mud everywhere and a damaged motorcycle we reached the Ho Chi Minh West trail. We made it after a lot of blood, sweat and splits (we thought). Only 100 kilometers to drive to our last destination Phong Nha. matrassen winkel in de buurt. An additional wrong estimation, off program you can not drive this distance in only 3 hours (prior to it ended up being dark).
The guy was very friendly and also prepared us a nice meal and at night we played some Chinese chess. Linda and I were delighted we were conserved and also discovered these welcoming individuals. My financing instructor always learned me; "there is no something as a complimentary".
With all bad luck on the planet, the gear of Linda's bike damaged. matrassen bouwel. Just the fourth gear was functioning, and simply the 4th gear is not useful in the mountains. With a rope and a great deal of effort we drew the motorbike with a rope connected to the various other (working) motorbike uphill
One more early morning we spend having a hard time with our bike, but lastly we made it (after an additional four hours) to Phong Nha. At night we offered the motorcycle of Linda directly, regrettably the electric motor was damaged throughout the day. Nonetheless, we took pleasure in the lovely and huge Paradase cave and the massive mountains in the nationwide park of Phong Nha.
Time for some relaxing after the motorcycle ordeal, Linda and me went on a two day (one evening) cruise ship to Halong Bay. Throughout the cruise we visited a cavern and went in the bay by kayak.
Our last journey we made to Sa , nearly 5 hours drive from Hanoi. Sa Pa is renowned for their rice paddies, which are everywhere. Day in Sa Pa was extremely chilly (just 10 levels) and we had to acquire some additional cozy garments. It was extremely clouded, so we can not see any kind of rice paddies.
It was going back in time for at the very least 100 years. The fire was likewise a manner to warm up the residence, with smoke everywhere in the residence (unhealthy).
After a tasty supper, prepared by Mu and us (we reduced the potatoes) we drunk some neighborhood pleased water. This is rice wine and taste like vodka. The next day we continued our walking and wound up at her sisters' area. Surprisingly, there was a big celebration going on for Tet (Chinese New Year), Mu welcomed us for lunch with her family and again we consumed a whole lot and we intoxicated happy water.
An outstanding cultural experience to join the customs and environments of a hillside people (natuurlatex matras). Linda and I are really grateful to Mu, we appreciated her stories and the hiking. The last day in Hanoi we sold also our last motorbike for a sensible price (after some initiative). What a great experience we had the last 4 week in Vietnam.
